An Asian media tycoon is spearheading a global news revolution through clever - and often hilarious - computer-animated re-enactments of real news events. The Sydney Morning Herald reports.
Billionaire media mogul Jimmy Lai, credited with bringing tabloid journalism to Hong Kong and Taiwan, in a year has built his Next Media Animation into a budding digital empire.
Two months after launching the company late last year, NMA became a worldwide hit after its re-enactment of the altercation between Tiger Woods and his wife, Elin Nordegren, became a viral sensation.
Now with several hundred staff, NMA churns out dozens of clips a day ranging from serious crime stories to celebrity gossip.
