i. TV brings schedules, trailers to your iPhone

TUAW writes up i.TV which is a free TV and movie guide for the iPhone and iPod touch. The application can be downloaded from the iTunes App Store.

i.TV enables users to customize the type of information they receive through i.TV. Users can sort and filter information by location, media type, genre, TV provider, channel, ratings, reviews and friend recommendations.

According to TUAW, the best is yet to come:

"As cool as the initial version of i.TV appears to be, the development directions are exponentially cooler. Future versions of the app are planned that will include remote DVR programming, IR blaster integration, DVD rentals movie ticket purchases and even the ability to watch full TV shows streamed from the programming source.
