Watching TV on Web may replace old-school cable

V e r b a t i m

"If you think about it, (giving up your cable company) is a little bit like cutting the cord. With a phone, two to three years ago, it was completely insane to say that you don't really need a home phone. -- Aniya Zaozerskaya, an analyst at Compete Inc., a Boston Web analytics firm.

I agree. There is so much content moving to the internet that eventually it will take a bite out of cable and satellite. Internet television is also empowering the little guys (niche content providers) because access is much more affordable. So we're starting to see great content online that you can't get on cable or satellite! And the number of internet television channels is unlimited. Check out over 100 channels at http://zipityzap.com . And for you couch potatoes, it works with a wireless remote control!
