Watching TV online: The New Workplace Distraction

Those co-workers who always insist on eating lunch at their desks may not be working as hard as you thought. Maybe they’re just watching television online, writes The Wall Street Journal.

"When do most people watch these programs? Weekdays between 12 pm and 2 pm, according to data released today by Nielson Online.

The number of people watching these half-hour or hour-long shows online during lunch hours is 50% higher than the average of all other times. Sadly, this study may end up being the kiss of death for this habit."
