Sweaty Football T-Shirt interacts with TV
Spotted on award winning blog we-make-money-not-art, - which follows projects where design, art and new technologies meet- a T-Shirt that Sweats. A project by Mariana Rivera, student of industrial design.
Because sweaty football shirts worn by favorite players are valued and desirable, the project proposes to provide the football supporter --who couldn't attend the match but follows it from afar, on his or her tv-- with a more intimate contact with the action that takes place on the field.
The T-Shirt that Sweats could thus enrich and expand the communicative power of the tv set through a t-shirt that sweats according to the sound levels of the TV screen during the game.
A working prototype was implemented using a small water pump and its reactions programmed on Arduino, an open-source electronics prototyping platform, intended for artists, designers, hobbyists, and anyone interested in creating interactive objects or environments.
