TV Blogs Went Dark

Something I missed. Last Tuesday, 21 entertainment and TV blogs written by fans went "dark" for one day. [via azstarnet.com]

"Instead of posting news and reviews about shows, the sites — including Televisionary. blogspot.com and TheTVAddict.com — posted solidarity statements from the Writers Guild of America.

The blogs also listed an online petition to support the guild writers and posted the mailing addresses of NBC, CBS, ABC and Fox. The blogs urged readers to write letters on behalf of the writers.

The one-day blog blackout is being considered a success. As of Friday, the online petition had 54,239 signatures. "
