New Zealand tourism company doles out $320,000 for 24-hour YouTube campaign

purenewzealand.gif Toursim New Zealand, a commercial tourist company in New Zealand, will pay a reported $320,000 to YouTube to be featured on the site's front page for 24 hours. [via tgdaily]

"The campaign will begin at 4 PM today, and will end at 4 PM tomorrow. At the same time, Tourism NZ will launch an official YouTube channel which willl be constantly refreshed the next 3 months with new content, including mini-documentaries.

The new 100% Pure New Zealand campaign focuses on New Zealand as the youngest country on earth.

As of this minute, the video 402 comments, mostly saying what a beautiful country New Zealand is.
