Babelgum Online Film Festival

Yesterday at Hotel Excelsior, during the 2007 Venice Film Festival, peer-to- peer Internet TV startup Babelgum introduced the Babelgum Online Film Festival.

The jury will be headed by Spike Lee, who underlined the opportunity for filmmakers to showcase their work:

When I was starting out there was no Internet, I was in the prehistoric age. Now, if you have a film and you’re talented, if someone hasn’t seen it, it’s your fault. Talent isn’t a problem. There’s an abundance of talent. This is an opportunity to showcase it.”
