A devastating video by NY firefighters destroys Giuliani's reputation as 9/11 hero
Yesterday's video published by The International Association of Firefighters, titled "Rudy Giuliani, Urban Legend", is devastating and destroys the former mayer of New York's reputation as a great leader and 9/11 hero.
Close ups of firefighters interviewed, alternating between images from 9/11 and the cleaning up of Ground Zero, claim that as Mayor for 8 years, he was responsible for the defective radios.
The firefighters did not hear the call in the North tower to evacuate, while all police officers left the building, 121 firefighters never made it out. The police officers heard it because their radios worked.
-- Rudy has used the horrible events of September 11 to create a persona that is an elaborate fabrication". He is nothing more than a shameless self-promoter." - Pete Gorman, Former President, UFOA Local 854, FDNY
-- "Giuliani told the 9/11 Commission that some fire fighters got killed because they ignored the order to evacuate. That's despicable." - Al Regenhard, Detective Sergeant, NYPD (ret.)
-- "Rudy Giuliani is no friend of fire fighters." - Pete Gorman, Former President, UFOA Local 854, FDNY
This will surely go down as a milestone in negative campaign advertising, in what has been called the "YouTube Elections".
Following the viewing of the video, Giuliani published a press release "Setting the record straight".
