"Sarkozy drunk" video frenzy

sarkozyemeche.gif Belgian television showed French President Nicolas Sarkozy addressing a panel of journalists following a closed-door session with Vladimir Putin during the G8 Summit of Heiligendamm. Because the Belgian TV commentator mentioned that it appeared that Sarkozy had more than just a glass of water to drink, a video frenzy ensued on the Internet.

Hundreds of videos appeared on Dailymotion, tagged "drunk","wasted", "tipsy" ... with headlines such as "Vodka Sarkozy", "Sarkozy drunk at the G8, "Sarkozy tipsy". And the frenzy spread to YouTube and other video sharing websites.

Drunk or not, Sarkozy answered the journalists questions admirably.

According to French daily Liberation, the videos have been viewed over 680,000 times. See for yourself. Two of them can be viewed on their pages.
