New blog name: WatchingTV Online
I changed the name of this blog to WatchingTV Online, as it seems more appropriate to the content I'm publishing. Though what got me interested in this subject initially (hence the name TVSeries Online), was because that's what I watch online. TV Series.
In Switzerland and in France, watching TV series on the Internet is all the rage. It's huge - though to the best of my knowledge, no studies have been published so far (on either the impact on DVD sales, or TV viewing).
We usually get the latest episodes of the last season of our favorite shows or the new shows, 6 months to one year after they have been broadcast in the US, so teenagers, college students and others (like uh, mothers) no longer wait to watch series on TV, or buy the DVD of the complete season - which is what we used to do.
Most video sharing websites (YouTube, Dailymotion) have episodes of TV series in streaming, but they are in complete disorder which makes it very hard to watch a series in sequence. The huge appeal for viewers are the websites that make sense of everything that has been uploaded, and link to seasons and series in order - these websites don't even host them.
Check out Gigi Studio, which is where I go. The site layout is loud, but the links are the best. It's TV series heaven.

Good stuff. I think alot of online streaming of TV shows is all the rage in Europe for foreigners living abroad. People living abroad don't have access to television in their native language and many sites like Hula won't work outside the US. That is why http://3click.tv was started. Ad free, complete series and a great show index that work perfectly everytime makes it my choice for streaming internet television. I have tried lots of other site but they usually have annoying popups, malware or broken links.
