Associated Press reporters told off for tweeting
The AP has reprimanded some of its journalists for breaking news on Twitter before posting it on the wires, reports the BBC.
The news agency issued the warning after members of its staff tweeted that they had been arrested at the Occupy Wall Street camp in Manhattan.
An email from bosses followed telling them that they had violated AP's social media policies.
It has reopened a debate about how traditional media deals with the disruptive nature of social networks.
