Burger King sued for annoying text messages

According to the Miami Times News, a woman from New York is suing Burger King for - get this - $5 million, for sending her 3 promotional text messages over several months even though she tried to opt out after the first.

The federal lawsuit filed in April 2009 alleges Burger King "violated Section 47 of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act, "which prohibits unsolicited voice and text calls to cellular phones."
