100,000 iPhone apps downloaded

Yesterday Apple officially announced it hit a milestone, soaring past 100,000 applications available for download in the App Store. [via Bits]

IPhone and iPod Touch owners have downloaded more than 2 billion applications since the storefront opened in July 2008. By comparison, it took more than two years for Apple to announce the sale of its billionth song through iTunes.
