Compatibility Issues for New Apple iPhone 3G S Apps
A couple of things have emerged about the iPhone 3G S, notably the fact that with its upgraded specs, apps may not work on older models. Mobile Marketing News reports.
It may not just be games that are affected – with a better camera, and the ability to take videos and use voice control, the iPhone apps that are created specifically for these features won’t be compatible with older models.
This creates a friction for Apple, who on the one hand are eager to push boundaries with the new iPhone 3G S, but on the other hand wish to maintain a simple and easy platform for developers to make apps. The reality of evolving technology may force Apple to splinter their app store for niche phones.
