Helping Parents Snoop on Kids’ iPhone Habits
Bits Blog writes up 3 iPhone apps that help parents keep an eye on what their children are looking at.
Mobicip is a free, kid-safe browser for iPhones and iPod Touches. It’s browser works exactly like Safari, but bars access to Web sites containing sexually explicit material, graphic violence, Web-based chat clients, e-commerce, social networks and games.
iWonder Surf, allows parents to block and unblock sites at their leisure. Parents can see which Web sites are being visited, and in the case of some social networks, like MySpace, find out which profiles their children have viewed.
SafeEyes Mobile tracks Web history and sends e-mail notifications to parents when Web surfers try to gain access to restricted Web sites. In addition, the application lets parents set limits on browsing time.
