Another Presidential Transition: @TheWhiteHouse on Twitter

In a day marked by transition, another interesting one to note: @thewhitehouse, the Twitter account previously maintained by the Bush Administration, has changed hands to the Obama team. Mashable reports.

The Bush team updated Twitter more than 1,500 times, mostly with links to content like the President’s weekly radio address and more recently, text of executive orders issued in the final days of Bush’s tenure.

Today, along with the rollout of a new Whitehouse.gov, the account is now featuring updates (and a new avatar) from Obama’s new media team, with links to the ttext of the inaugural address and the new White House blog.
