UK phone users send 217 million text per day, says study
Britons are sending an average of 60 million more text messages per day from their mobile phones than they did this time last year, according to the latest industry figures, reported by The Daily Telegraph.
That equates to roughly 217 million messages per day, and more than 6.5 billion texts per month, says the report by the Mobile Data Association. In addition, British mobile phone users send almost 1.5 million picture and video-based text messages every day, an increase of 20 per cent on the same period in 2007.
