THR is launching a mobile box office product this week that will send weekend box office estimates via text message. [via mocoNews.net]

Pulling from Nielsen data, the publication will push official studio box office tallies to users that sign up for the mobile alerts with a short code. The top five movies from each week will be sent on Sunday morning while more detailed data will also be sent to newsletter subscribers.
