Train kills 16-year-old girl retrieving mobile after prank

A teenage girl was killed by a train as she tried to retrieve her mobile phone thrown on to the track by a boy, reports Sunday Mirror.

"The 16-year-old victim ran on to a level crossing in Bridgend, South Wales.

Taxi driver Jack Walby, 65, said: "Her friends had been making a lot of noise and messing around. One of our drivers saw a boy throw the phone on to the line. "She had to climb over the barrier on the level crossing to reach it."
