Telefonica to sell the iPhone in Spain

Telefonica SA announced it had reached a deal with Apple to sell the iPhone in Spain. The Wall Street Journal reports.

"Telefonica is the first company to sell the iPhone in Spain and said it would start selling it at some point in 2008. Telefonica, the largest telecommunications company in Spain and Latin America, didn't provide financial details of the agreement or say if it had exclusive rights to sell the handset in Spain."
