Alltel offers Voice2Texte voicemail transcription

Alltel has become the first national US carrier to offer a service capable of transcribing voicemails and sending them to subscribers as text messages.

"The service, Dubbed Voice2TXT, automatically converts voicemails to text, so that you can read them in any environment (such as in a meeting, on a train, at a game, a loud party, etc.) and respond via text. Think “visual voicemail,” but you can actually see the contents of the voicemail, not just who it is from."
