Japan. High school girls online on cell phones 2 hours a day

tokyu_sirens.jpg High school girls are the biggest users of mobile phone Internet and text services, accessing them for an average of two hours and four minutes a day, according to a Cabinet Office survey. The Daily Yomiuri Online reports.

"High school boys were next, going online on their cell phone for an average of one hour 32 minutes a day.

Middle school girls accessed services for an average of one hour 19 minutes, and middle school boys for one hour 11 minutes, the survey on youngsters and the information society found.

The poll also found that 27.3 percent of primary school students, 53.4 percent of middle school students, and 95.2 percent of high school students had their own mobile phone."
