iPhone in China at Apple Store?

News out from Sohu IT has it that instead of partnering with either China Mobile or China Unicom, Apple’s thinking of going it alone — and selling it at its own Apple Store.

The Apple store is expected to open by summer 2008 in the Chinese capital, Beijing, and two spots — Wangfujing and Qianmen (both in central Beijing) — are up for grabs.
