Why wait until Friday?

They don't go on sale until Friday evening - but Apple iPhones are already being offered on British eBay for more than twice their official price, according to metro.

"The 'must-have gadget' will be launched at Apple, Carphone Warehouse and O2 stores, costing £269 ($566).

But scores of UK-based vendors were offering the must-have gadget via the online auction site today for as much as £599.99 ($1.179).
