Wireless sms keyboard
Spotted on IOL, a patent for a wireless text-messaging keyboard which contains a full set of alphanumerical keys, laid out on a flexible silicone rubber panel.
The keyboard is capable of being rolled up into a compact size and contains a Near-field communication coupling system capable of detecting the presence of a digital mobile phone.
... Letters typed on the keyboard are transmitted wirelessly to the mobile phone and displayed on its LCD screen, which may then be send to a recipient via the phone network.
Once the message has been sent, the mobile phone is removed, deactivating the keyboard, which may be rolled up and stowed away in a handbag or briefcase."
