Unlocked iPhone selling in French Department Store

home_logo_old.gif According to an article in French newspaper Le Monde, an unlocked version of the iPhone has been selling as of Friday in a Leclerc department store, (the Centre Leclerc de Frouard), in Meurthe-et-Moselle, with a huge sign over it dangling from the ceiling that reads:

"Nouveauté... En "avant-première".. téléphone GSM. Libre réseau. Apple. IPhone 8 Go. 999 euros"

"New, "sneak-preview". GSM phone. Operator free. Apple. iPhone&Co. $1,400

The store claims it's an exclusive and won't be availabe in other retail outlets of the same chain."
