New “Made in China” cell phone toy recall

original.jpeg More dangerous Chinese toys have been removed from markets and shop shelves in the UK by Trading Standards officers. Around 600 tiny mobile phones marketed at toddlers have been seized in Ealing, west London, and described as potential killers.

The key problem, reported by Channel4 News, was that they had easy access to small batteries that could be swallowed by small children and cause chemical burns inside their stomachs.

It comes just days after Mattell UK recalled more than 2,500 Chinese-made Barbie toys over fears they contain excessive amounts of lead paint."
