Foreign brands dominate China's mobile phone market

xin_16050322113661720531.jpg Foreign brands (Nokia, Motorola, Samsung and Sony Ericsson) still dominate the Chinese mobile phone market with over 70% market share in the first half of this year, according to statistics from CCID Consulting, a leading Chinese market research firm. China Knowledge reports.

"248 million mobile phones have been produced in China during the first six month of this year, and the figure is expected to exceed 500 million this year.

Mobile communications subscribers were over 480 million at the end of first quarter, and the number may go above 500 million by year end."
