Locked in warehouse employees have to send SMS for bathroom permission

In what's sounds like a mixture of slave labour and technology, a South African Department store reportedly locks up it's employees in the warehouse where they work, and if they need to use the restroom - which is outside the building - , they have to send an SMS requesting permission. Management sometimes responds after 30 minutes.

"The Department of Labour issued the employer with a prohibition notice for contravening provisions of the Occupational Health and Safety Act."
