Mobile banking sees little consumer interest in U.S

Jupiter Research has found that just 8 percent of online consumers who own a mobile phone are interested in using it to check their bank balance. Moco News reports.

"Jupiter thinks that the current buzz around mobile banking is based on the industry wanting to expand into mobile - rather than on consumer demand.

In countries with a high penetration of broadband and a good banking infrastructure there’s little reason for consumers to want to replicate that experience on mobile— it’s in countries with low internet penetration that mobile banking will be popular.
