Chinese construction workers cell phones confiscated following tunnel collapse
Following the collapse of a Beijing subway tunnel being built for the 2008 Olympics that killed six workers, and the Chinese police detaining 10 people conncected with the accident, the site's managers confiscated the other workers' mobile phones to prevent them from talking to the police or the media.
"The accident happened on Wednesday, but the construction firm failed to report it for nearly eight hours and tried to rescue the trapped workers on its own." [via The Washington Post]
