Weapons and mobile phones 'worst inventions'

Weapons and mobile phones are named as the world's worst inventions in a UK poll, according to Manchester Evening News.

"Guns, explosives, atomic bombs and biological weapons collectively were the most disliked items, according to a survey of more than 4,000 people. Mobile phones came second in the BBC Focus magazine's "worst inventions" poll.

... The poll was carried out via the RadioTimes website. Respondents were given free choice to name whatever they considered to be the worst invention ever."
