UK. Police may seize drivers' cell phones
Another suggestion to get drivers to quit using their cell phones while driving. This time from Senior police officers in the Southport neighbourhood (UK). They are considering seizing handsets from offending motorists. But they still have to determine if this is legal.
"Officers believe the prospect of losing an expensive phone might prove to have the effect of changing people's habits for good," reports iCCheshireOnline.
Not as severe as another idea floating around the UK, which is to throw offenders in jail.
