Cisco, Apple Agree to Extension in iPhone Suit

Apple and Cisco Systems agreed to extend the time Apple has to respond to Cisco's lawsuit over Apple naming its new cell phone-iPod device iPhone.

The extension will allow the companies to discuss trademark rights and interoperability. Apple says it's entitled to use the name iPhone because its device operates over a cellular network, unlike Cisco's phones. [MacNews World]
