Wikipedia needs your help
Can anyone imagine the Internet without Google or Wikipedia? I certainly can't. I spend my days searching, reading and learning from both of them.
Well it seems Wikipedia is having financial difficulties as their campaign only brought in one third of the needed funds and they may soon run out of cash to pay their hosting bills.
Laurent Haug, organizer of LIFT- a conference about the challenges and opportunities of technology in our society to be held soon in Geneva - met up with Florence Devouard from Wikipedia in Berlin, and reported her concerns on his blog ballpark.
It would be an unfathomable loss to all of us if Wikipedia were to disappear but we can all do something about it, like pitching in so this doesn't happen. Act Now! in any small way you can. It will add up.
