Nokia Aims at Rivals with Slimmer Phone
The Wall Street Journal reports that Nokia is introducing a thin folding cellphone reminiscent of Motorola's RAZR.
"Nokia Chief Executive Officer Olli-Pekka Kallasvuo plans to unveil Nokia's first slim high-end offering today at the annual International Consumer Electronics Showin Las Vegas.
The N76 uses the 3G high-speed wireless standard, has a two-megapixel camera and is a little more than a half inch thick.
... Nokia, of Espoo, Finland, has lagged behind competitors in slim-handset offerings. Motorola pioneered the category with its RAZR handset. Other rivals, such as Samsung Electronics Co. of South Korea, were quick to embrace the trend."
