Naomi Campbell might settle New York assault case

Supermodel Naomi Campbell could be nearing a plea deal on a charge of for hitting her housekeeper over the head with a cell phone last March, reports Reuters reports.

"The judge set a new hearing for January 16, when Campbell could either accept a plea deal or possibly be charged with second-degree assault.

... The 36-year-old celebrity model faces up to seven years in prison if convicted of second-degree assault."
