People can now send Korean text messages in China

People can now send Korean text messages in thanks to a deal between SK Telecom and China Unicom, reports JoongAng Daily.

"SK Telecom said yesterday that people using mobile phone service by China Unicom, the country’s second-largest service provider, will be able to send and receive messages in Korean beginning Thursday. This is the first time subscribers to a foreign service will be able to send text in Korean
