Burglars accept texted ransom offer for stolen cellphone

Engadget Mobile has a posted a not so smart cell phone burglar story.

"After his cell phone was stolen, a man sent a text message to the burglar offering to meet and give him $300 in exchange for the return of his phone. The burglar accepted and when he showed up for the exchange, he was met by the police."
