SMS sprinklers reduce water wastage

A new irrigation system called "Cloudmaster'', installed at Willoughby's sports fields in Australia will allow sprinklers to be controlled by SMS in an effort to reduce water wastage.

"The Willoughby Council council staff will be able to turn off watering systems with an SMS text message if rain is forecast. [via The North Shore Times]
