Team and Playoff alerts by SMS

"MLB.com has expanded its Team Alerts service with a tool called the "Mobile Dashboard." For fans to control which alert types they want to receive. Previously it was a one-size-fits-all service; now you can customize it to whatever you want; home run alerts, lead changes in the seventh inning and later, postgame summaries, team news and league news.

Also available now is a "Playoff Alerts service, similar to Team Alerts but covering all the postseason teams and series. You can manage your Playoff Alerts subscription through the Mobile Dashboard, picking which alert types you want to receive and which series you want to follow." [via LA Dodgers MLB ].
