The SMS-able Crystal Ball

You can now send images, animations and text messages to a multi LED colored crystal ball: the The Textable Display.

"It can hold up to 64 one or two-line messages and show them in one of several rather odd colors: red, green, blue, turquoise, mauve, yellow, or black", reports Gearlog via slashphone and Gizmodo.

How does it work?

The Textable Display has its own mobile phone SIM card. It connects to the cellular networks. To send a message to the Textable Display, simply send an SMS text message to the number you will be supplied. After a minute or two your message will be seen on the Textable Display.
