Cellphone Lots at Airports get Upgrades

cellphonelot.gif With heavy travelling time coming up for the summer, it's good to remember that US airports offer cellphone lots — free parking areas where people picking up incoming travellers can simply await the "I'm at arrival" call.

According to USA Today, "less than two years, cellphone lots have gone from nearly non-existent to commonplace. Almost half of the 50 largest domestic airports now features such lots.

And to spur more use, some airports have enhanced their lots. Tampa installed a free Wi-Fi hot spot. A large information board in Phoenix informs drivers of flight delays. Charlotte added a picnic table."
