Building and engineering inspectors refuse to carry GPS phones

This is interesting, and to the best of my knowledge, the first such incident reported where employees refused to carry government provided GPS phones.

According to Eyewitness News, "Boston State building and engineering inspectors were suspended Monday for refusing to carry cell phones with global-positioning software, but are now back on the job.

"Supervisors want to keep an eye on inspectors to increase accountability, but some of the inspectors call the use of the GPSphones an invasion of privacy. Twenty of the state's 24 inspectors refused to carry them."
