Neopets Virtual Pet by Cellphone
The NY Times reports on a cellphone-based tamogtchi-like version of its popular Neopets Web site to launch tomorrow.
"The site lets users adopt, feed and nurture their pets and do battle with cartoonish creatures including the catlike Aisha and the dragonlike Scorchio.
There are cellphone versions of many popular video games, but they are usually distinct experiences from the computer- or console-based versions. Neopets is different in that users will play with the same pets on both screens. For example, if they feed their pet a banana on the phone, it will be more nourished when they plop down at the computer."
