Despite controversy, taxi drivers sign up as Road Spies
Three hundred Sydney taxi drivers have been recruited as spies for a controversial text-messaging service called Road Spy - that warns motorists about speed cameras and police blitzes, reports The Sydney Morning Herald.
"The service has drawn criticism from government and road safety authorities, which say it helps people get away with dangerous driving and encourages them to use their mobile phones at the wheel."
