Hotel in Chicago offers to lock away mobile devices

function_photo.jpg Rick Ueno, the general manager of the Sheraton Chicago Hotel offers to put communications devices under lock and key for guests who want a break, reports CNN via boingboing.

"Ueno said the program that began on Wednesday grew out of his own personal BlackBerry addiction and obsession with e-mail. His one-step recovery was switching to a regular cell phone.

He believes guests might want to try the same thing, for a day or two anyway, so they can concentrate on meetings, business and socializing while at the hotel."
