Making the Web fit for mobile

mobileweb_w.jpg The first draft of a language designed for mobile Web content - called Device Independent Authoring Language (DIAL) - was released today by The World Wide Web Consortium

According to SCI FI Tech "The language would take into account the screen size, color, and resolution of your specific device, tailoring the content accordingly. The new language would help speed up connections, since your device would know to only download data that can be displayed. If adapted widely, it would make getting content on your mobile phone much less of a pain and would encourage more content to be specially designed for the devices."
