Mobile mast mystery
It may be a coincidence or something more sinister, but the top two floors of a building in Melbourne, Australia, have been closed after seven long-term employees were diagnosed with brain tumours – four of them in the past two weeks, reports New Scientist.
"Suspicion has fallen on the mobile phone masts located on the roof of the building, although previous checks carried out in 2001 – following the first three staff tumours – found no link. But five of the cases occurred on the top floor, which is statistically highly unusual and prompted the recent closure."
